Too Hot To Handle: 5 Things To-Do in Dubai In Summer

It’s approaching that time of year; where you begin to sweat from places you didn’t think you could sweat from and jumping from air con to air con is a necessity. Although spending longer than 7 seconds outside may be too hot to handle, it doesn’t mean you need to stay cooped up in your apartment, running your AC bills through the roof.

We’ve put together some activities and things you can enjoy in Dubai, without having to experience the desert heat.

1- IMG Worlds of Adventure

An inside theme park. A brilliant concept when you live in the middle of the desert. Made up of 5 zones: Marvel, The Lost Valley, Cartoon Network, IMG Boulevard and The Haunted Hotel, you can enjoy thrilling rides and attractions, with some great shopping and dining experiences. IMG Worlds is a fun day out for the whole family!

2 – Deep Dive Dubai

Escape the heat and dive 60 feet under into this record-breaking facility. A  unique diving experience filled with adventure and wonder for both beginners and professionals. This 60-meter pool makes Deep Dive Dubai the deepest pool in the world.

3 – Dubai Dolphinarium

Get ready to meet and play with dolphins, as you can get up close to these beautiful marine creatures. Watch them dance, juggle and jump through hoops in an incredible dolphin and seal show. Dubai Dolphinarium also offers fun and engaging bird shows where you can interact with over 2o exotic birds from all over the world. A truly fun day out for all the family.  Book your tickets here

4 – The Dubai Mall

While shopping is always a great idea, The Dubai Mall also has a number of indoor attractions. First up is the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. This incredible aquarium comprises a 10-million liter tank that contains over 33,000 aquatic animals, including sand tiger sharks! In addition to the aquarium tunnel, you’ll also encounter a wide range of animals including a giant crocodile.

Once you’ve finished with the aquarium, put on your skates and slide over to the Dubai Ice Rink. The Olympic-sized ice rink offers fun for both adults and children, as well as skating sessions and learning programs.

5 – Ski Dubai

Experience a climate change like no other, from the 40+ degrees desert heat  to the freezing ski slopes, head to Ski Dubai in Mall of the Emirates. Ski Dubai offers the thrill of skiing on real snow in winter-like conditions, while the sun is blazing outside. In addition to skiing you can watch penguins, ride a zip-line or watch a movie at the snow cinema.
